About wethrift

wethrift is a blog about buying and selling second-hand in London. Where to find the good stuff, what it's actually worth, and how to sell it on without the fees and postage eating your profit.

We write about events like kilo sales, vintage fairs and car boots, about buying well, about selling on the side, and about the platforms, from Vinted and Depop to eBay.

The opinions are honest. If a fair has gone stale, an early-bird ticket isn't worth it or a platform's new fee is a stitch-up, we'll say so.

How we check things

Event dates come from the organisers' own listings wherever possible, and we link to them so you can check before you travel. Platform fees and rules come from the platforms themselves and are dated, because they change. Things still move, so it's worth having a quick look before you set off.

Nobody pays to be featured, and there are no affiliate links. Some outbound links are tracked so we can see what people are interested in, and that's all they're used for.
